Reindex Skill
Re-index the Obsidian vault for RAG search. Scans markdown, PDF, and MS Office files, generates embeddings via Ollama, and stores in Qdrant.
Overview
The Reindex skill updates the RAG search system with new or modified content from your Obsidian vault. It uses content hashing for incremental updates, only re-indexing files that have changed.
Supported File Types
- Markdown (.md) - Primary Obsidian format
- PDF (.pdf) - Research papers, documentation
- Word (.docx) - Documents and reports
- Excel (.xlsx) - Spreadsheets and data
- PowerPoint (.pptx) - Presentations

When to Use
- After adding new documents to Obsidian
- After modifying existing documents
- When RAG search isn't finding expected content
- Periodically to ensure index is up to date
